Matthew 18:21-22 (KJV)
21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
This is a time that is crucial to our spiritual growth. It will change our lives. In order for my ministry to grow, I had to change my mindset. Despite the pain inflicted on me, no matter how wrong the offense, it was a must that I forgive.
I almost allowed “unforgiveness” to consume me like cancer—from the inside out. I allowed the enemy to victimize me with my unwillingness to forgive and continuously use me to fight his battle with my disobedience to forgiveness.
We forgive intellectually, but not with your heart.
The central aspect of my faith is forgiveness.
Good news, the more I drew closer to GOD, forgiveness had to happen. The more I confess and repented, forgiveness became necessary. It is a critical component of the healing process.
I had to learn how to walk in a constant state of forgiveness.
